Overview

The Cosh is a stunning example of modern architecture in the countryside; a converted Dutch barn is now a Cotswold holiday home which sleeps 12 guests, in six spacious bedrooms, with five bathrooms. The remarkable open plan living space on the ground floor is flooded with natural light and contemporary interiors; this continues into the exquisite family room on the first floor, which has a balcony with views over the countryside. Set amongst a working farm, the garden backs onto a brook, with a beautiful shepherd's hut and lawn for guests and their four-legged friends to enjoy.

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

The Cosh is situated on a working smallholding outside the picturesque village of Blockley. The village is home to two fabulous pubs, one being The Crown, a much-loved village shop and café, and an array of scenic walks, and is perfectly located for visiting places such as Daylesford Organic, Batsford Arboretum, Broadway Tower and Hidcote Gardens. If you fancy a visit to the local towns, we would highly recommend Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold and Broadway, all of which have an array of boutique shops and eateries.
For your shopping essentials, there is the shop in the village and other larger supermarkets in the nearby town of Moreton-in-Marsh.
Blockley sits in the North Cotswolds which is a great location for visiting the historical town of Stratford-upon-Avon, Winchcombe, home to Sudeley Castle, and for a day out, Oxford is just an hour away... find out many more things to do in the Cotswolds on our blog!

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 12 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 2 additional infants
  • Hen and Stag parties are not permitted, though other same sex groups can enquire 
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • Please note the property is located on the owners' working smallholding
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £500 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
