The Farmhouse is a well-proportioned period property that has evolved from the late 17th century through to the early 20th century. The property has been lovingly renovated to make the most of the spectacular views across the half-acre of garden and rolling countryside beyond. The flexible layout makes this an ideal home to come together with extended family and friends, accommodating 10+1 in five generous double bedrooms and the +1 is a single bed on the mezzanine level. There is a superb kitchen and breakfast room, also ideal for lounging and enjoy the view with a glass of wine! The large sitting room has a gorgeous feature fireplace with wood burning stove, perfect for winter evenings, and in the summer throw open the bi-fold doors that lead straight out onto the terrace with plenty of comfortable outdoor seating.

A spacious, detached holiday home with contemporary open plan accommodation. Located in the unspoilt countryside, The Farmhouse is situated in the peaceful village of Aston Somerville near Broadway and is ideal for groups of friends or family gatherings and those looking to explore the North Cotswolds. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

Views of the rolling countryside, paddocks and beyond. At the front of the house is off-road parking for up to five cars

The Finer Details

  • Bed linen and towels are provided
  • Off street parking is available for up to 5 cars
  • 1 travel cot and 1 highchair provided (A thick foam cot mattress is provided but please bring your own linen for the travel cot, as this is not provided)
  • Up to 2 medium sized dogs are welcome for an additional £40 per booking per dog. For pet rules, please visit our FAQs. (A dog basket and dog bowl is provided)

  • Shops, pubs and restaurants all within a few miles by car - the local pub is The Beckford Inn in Tewkesbury about 4 miles away and a Russell’s Restaurant and Lygon Arms in Broadway
  • This is an older property with beautiful character features, but includes some low beams and low ceilings upstairs. There are steep steps to the mezzanine with the +1 single bed
  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property
Things to Note...
  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 11 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 2 additional infants
  • Hen, Stag and other events are not permitted without prior consent
  • Commercial and work-related bookings are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £350 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Aston Somerville lies in a lovely and unspoiled tract of countryside southwest of Broadway and ringed by the Cotswold escarpment, Prescott, Dumbleton and Bredon Hills, all of which are in view of The Farmhouse. It is handily placed for access to Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon, the principal shopping and cultural centres for the area, with Broadway, Winchcombe and Evesham all providing excellent local facilities. There is good access to the M5 and mainline railway services to London or Worcester from Evesham, Honeybourne or Moreton-in-March.

The farmhouse was well equipped and there was always someone on call if there was a problem (which there wasn't). It was considerate to leave us a bottle of prosecco and a thank you leaving gift. If there they would like improvement I think hand towel rails, toilet roll holders and coat hooks in the boot room for outdoor coats would be useful. It was a relaxing break for the whole family and plenty of garden space for the children.

The Owners were also very appreciative of your suggestions and have confirmed that they have now put in place 12 coat hooks in the boot room, as well as toilet roll holders and towel hooks in the bedroom 5 ensuite. The Farmhouse was ideal for our gathering - gorgeous, spacious property in a great location with amazing (sunset) countryside views. The house is beautifully decorated, well maintained and perfectly set up for relaxing, cooking and enjoying meals together. Neil is a fantastic host (really helpful and friendly) and has obviously put a lot of thought and care into making sure the house is welcoming, comfortable and equipped with everything you would need for a trip away. Could not have asked for more. Highly recommend and we hope to return to The Farmhouse again in the future!
