This delightfully cosy, yet homely abode sleeps up to two guests (no children aged two or under permitted) in a contemporary king size bedroom with a separate bathroom and open plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area, a perfectly equipped space with everything needed for a short break in the Cotswolds. The Nest is a dog friendly holiday home and has plenty of countryside to explore right on the doorstep, including many popular walk and cycle routes. Robins Roost has a second holiday cottage, The Cottage at Robins Roost which sleeps 2+2 guests and can be booked separately or in conjunction with The Nest.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Little Rissington is an idyllic Cotswold village surrounded by countryside, walking trails and cycle routes on the doorstep, including paths to nearby villages. The North Cotswolds is known for its many chocolate-box villages and historic market towns such as Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh, Chipping Campden and Burford, all easily accessible from Little Rissington. In addition to quaint cottages and impressive architecture, there are a wide range of attractions for all ages including the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway, Sudeley Castle, the Cotswold Wildlife Park and the Cotswold Falconry Centre. Further afield destinations such as Oxford, Cirencester, Bath and Stratford-upon-Avon are also within easy reach for days out.
For your nearest pub, The Lamb Inn, is just a short 6 minute drive away.
For your shopping essentials, there is a well stocked Co-op in Bourton-on-the-Water.

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 2 guests. Regrettably, The Nest does not accept babies and children under the age of two years
  • Bed linen and towels are provided - all bedding is hypoallergenic
  • Off street parking is available for up to 1 car on the shared driveway

  • Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times outside as the owners have a flock of free range pet chickens and two cats that may be visible to your dog on the grounds

  • The Nest is situated in the grounds of the owners home and there is a large unfenced pond, so children and dogs should be supervised at all times

  • Due to the close proximity to the owners home, a BBQ is not provided or permitted
  • Oil-fired central heating system
  • Situated in the eaves, the property has sloping ceilings which could pose difficulty to taller guests in terms of their general movement and their ability to quickly exit the house in the event of an emergency
  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £75 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
