Careful attention has been paid to the original structure, with wooden beams left exposed, especially in the country-style kitchen, the perfect setting to cook a fabulous meal for your guests. After a day of exploring, make your way up the oak staircase and take your pick from the numerous bedrooms with views over the rolling Cotswold hills. For larger groups, Waterhead Barn can be booked with Old Brewery House, which has a maximum occupancy of 21. Waterhead Barn is a wonderful holiday home for friends and family to come together in the Cotswolds!

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Waterheard Barn is situated on the Donnington Brewery Estate with wonderful walks from your doorstep. Only 2 miles away is the picturesque market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, brimming with pubs and boutique shops. We highly recommend a trip to the renowned Daylesford Organic Farmshop where you can book in for a spa treatment or a workshop on a rainy day. If it’s a family day out you are looking for the Cotswold Wildlife Park is a must!
For your shopping essentials, there is a Co-op and a Tesco Superstore in Stow-on-the-Wold.
Wonderfully positioned to explore all the Cotswolds has to offer such as Broadway, Chipping Campden and Bourton-on-the-Water. And for those wanting to visit the races at Cheltenham, the property is only half an hour away.

  • There is no coffee machine at this property, however there are 2 cafeterias
  • The property does not permit charging of electric cars. Charging points can be found locally
  • To enquire about including a hot tub for your stay, please contact Nick at Oxford Hot Tubs. Hire costs will be payable to Oxford Hot Tubs directly, along with a standard £75 charge payable to the Owner via StayCotswold as a contribution towards the usual running costs
  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 12+1 guests in 6 bedrooms and the +1 being accommodated on the additional sofa bed (maximum 1 adult) . Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 2 additional infants
  • Hen, Stag and other same sex groups are not permitted
  • Commercial and work related bookings are not permitted
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £500.00 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
