The property has been thoughtfully fitted with contemporary facilities and high-quality furnishings to offer a warm and comfortable stay for guests of all ages. Outside, the garden with its gravel and grass areas is a lovely space to unwind and take in the sunshine throughout the year. Explore the many delights of Stow-on-the-Wold on foot, before retreating to the cottage to relax on the sumptuous corner sofa by the cosy wood burning stove. Ways End also accepts two medium sized dogs!

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Ways End is situated in Stow-on-the-Wold, a bustling market town with an abundance of popular pubs, restaurants, tearooms and boutique shops lining its streets. The market square sits at the heart of the town and plays host to the Farmers’ Market every second Thursday of each month.
For your shopping essentials, there is a mini Co-op in The Square or a Tesco Superstore located on the Fosse Way, less than one mile away.
Stow is well-placed for exploring the surrounding countryside and nearby towns and villages of Burford, Moreton-in-Marsh, Bourton-on-the-Water and Broadway.

The Finer Details

  • Bed linen and towels are provided (duvets and pillows are hypoallergenic)
  • Off street parking is available for 1 car, additional free on street parking is available close by
  • 1 travel cot and 1 highchair are available on request (please bring your own linen for the travel cot, as this is not provided)

  • Please note that the master bedroom and bedroom 2 are located in the eaves of the house, so do have sloped ceilings
  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property
Things to Note...
  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 6 guests, though the number of adults per booking is capped at 5. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant 
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 17:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • Bedroom 3 is only suitable for 1 adult or 2 children, not 2 adults
  • Please note that the dining area is ideally suited to 4 adults, however the table can be extended and there are 2 chairs in the bedrooms which can be used if needed
  • The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
