Nestled in the heart of the countryside, The Old Workshop, Combrook, is a charming one bedroom barn conversion which sleeps two guests (no children aged 17 or under permitted). Thoughtfully designed and all on one level, the open plan layout seamlessly connects the kitchen, dining and living area, creating a bright, welcoming space ideal for relaxing or socialising. A large picture window fills the interior with natural light, adding to the warm and airy feel. The elegant double bedroom offers a restful retreat, with doors opening onto a private balcony overlooking woodland, and a well-appointed and generously sized bathroom completes the accommodation. Located within the grounds of a historic manor house, this unique retreat offers a serene escape with convenient access to the North Cotswolds and Stratford-upon-Avon.

The Old Workshop, Combrook, can be booked either on its own or with The Tractor Shed which sleeps six guests. Located next to one another, the two together offer an ideal setup for larger families, or for friends travelling together.

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

The Old Workshop is located just two miles from picturesque Combrook whose history is closely linked with that of the nearby Compton Verney Estate, for which it once served as the estate village. Combrook offers visitors a glimpse into traditional English life and dates from at least the time of Henry I, circa 1086, when a small medieval church named St Mary's was built.

For your shopping essentials, there is a Co-op in Kineton and a Sainsbury's and Co-op in Wellesbourne.
There are many popular places to visit in the area such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden and Stow-on-the-Wold. Just a mile away, in a Capability Brown-designed park in the heart of Warwickshire, is Compton Verney Estate, today renowned for the unique blend of gallery, landscape and experience. There is no access to the manor house or grounds beyond the hedge at the side of the car park
A public footpath passes through the grounds

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. We reserve the right to charge an amount up to the value of the security deposit to your payment card up to 7 days after your departure date. In some circumstances, we may require a pre-authorisation of the security deposit amount against your payment card 7 days prior to your arrival date, which will be released 7 days after your departure date, providing no damage is reported or excessive cleaning is required. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

We had a wonderful stay at The Old Workshop. The accommodation was clean, beautifully decorated and perfect for our week away. Recently stayed at The Old Workshop, Combrook for 4 nights and really enjoyed our short break. We found everything about it to be of a very high standard and the family were friendly and couldn't have done more to make our stay a happy one. Great location in a peaceful rural area with lovely views but within easy reach of Stratford-upon-Avon and other pretty Cotswold towns and villages for days out, meals and shopping. We hope to stay again soon when visiting family in the area
