SPRING HAS SPRUNG
NOW THE CLOCKS HAVE GONE FORWARD WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SPRING
Spring is in the air!
After what has felt like the longest winter, the weather is getting milder, the days are staying lighter for longer, and flowers are starting to bloom outside the StayCotswold office. Our Operations Manager Annabel has been out and about exploring Stow-on-the-Wold:
I feel lucky to be living in this part of the world – people dream about visiting the Cotswolds and I get to see it every day! My journey recently, on a beautiful Spring day, took me to Stow-on-the-Wold. I am ashamed to say that having lived here for 3 years, I’d never been! Stow is a typical bustling Cotswold market town. It’s great for a ramble around looking in all the different shops – you must go and buy some fudge from Roly’s Fudge Pantry, I spent quite a long time in there cheekily sampling all the fudge (I did buy some afterwards though!). I also ventured into the Cotswold Co, a fabulous & sophisticated furniture shop which is a like a rabbit warren inside, the shop just goes on and on and on.
When I need a refuel, I am a café lover, so whilst there are many places to eat in Stow, I opted to go the Hive café, on the recommendation of a friend, and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious, and reasonable. It was a Saturday afternoon but luckily I managed to bag the last table. Another of my favourite's is Huffkins which is on the market square.
Why not stay at one of our gorgeous properties nearby, Waterhead Barn and Old Brewery House are only 2 miles away!
