The picturesque Bea’s Cottage is a lovingly refurbished Cotswold holiday cottage near Cirencester which sleeps 4+1 guests, in two bedrooms, with the +1 option being a sofa bed, with one family bathroom. The spacious sitting room is the heart of this home, with exposed brickwork and oak beams a peaceful evening can be spent snuggled around the wood burner. Such features can be found throughout the property, the master bedroom having a delightful surprise of a substantial feature fireplace, a true exhibition of the property's heritage. Within walking distance at Ampney Brook is The Crown, where your will find a sublime Sunday lunch. Bea’s Cottage is a dog friendly holiday Cottage, suitable for two medium sized dogs.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Bea’s Cottage is located in the charming village of Ampney Crucis, situated just outside bustling Cirencester. A wonderful spot for exploring what's on in the Cotswolds with unique activities close by such as visiting Bibury Trout Farm, Westonbirt Arboretum or catch a fixture at Cirencester Polo Club. For the foodies, there are great options such as the local pub, The Crown in Ampney Brook, The Boot at Barnsley and The Swan in Bibury, just to mention a few!

For your shopping essentials, there are a number of supermarkets in Cirencester. Don’t forget to visit KNEAD bakery for some wonderful treats!
Ampney Crucis is well-placed for visiting the much-loved towns and villages of the Cotswolds such as Tetbury, Minchinhampton, Lechlade-on-Thames and Fairford.

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

Our week-long stay in a lovely Cotswolds cottage was a wonderful family getaway. The local pub was excellent, offering delicious food and a warm atmosphere. The picturesque surroundings and quaint village added to the charm. However, the cottage could use some improvements. It was not well-equipped, with limited supplies like one roll of toilet paper and kitchen paper. The absence of wardrobes, laundry tablets for the washing machine, and a tin opener were minor inconveniences. Overall, it was a great experience, but these improvements would enhance future stays.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful cottage which is full of character, original features, low beams and wonky floors. We chose this cottage because we wanted a dog friendly garden, in a peaceful location and this didn't disappoint. The enclosed good size back garden was a great place for our Jack Russell to run around and play ball. It does have a small escape route (by the power point at the end of the garden) but this wasn't a problem for us. We were lucky enough to have a mini heatwave when we stayed, so made the most of the sun trap at the end of the garden each evening, and we're pleasantly surprised that the thick walls kept the cottage nice and cool, which was a welcome relief when we returned from our days out exploring the picturesque South Cotswolds. Just a couple of points, the bathroom basin taps are the wrong way round, (cold is usually on the right as you look at the taps) and although there were some coat hangers on the back of the main bedroom door, a small rail/wardrobe would be a great addition. The kitchen is small and well equipped, although no pint glasses, there were plenty of wine glasses and tumblers for us to use. We were delighted that Bea's cottage is just like the pictures and detailed write up on the website, we found the place extremely clean and tidy and always manage to park on the road outside the property. We would definitely recommend Bea's Cottage to friends and would visit again if in the area, as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this relaxing location, which is also an easy walk through the village to a welcoming dog friendly pub.

We absolutely loved our stay at Bea's Cottage. The accommodation was cosy, welcoming, and immaculately well kept. The kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment we needed, and a great garden space for the dog and our little boy. Staircase is quite small and steep, but otherwise the cottage is easy to move around. A lovely quiet, picturesque and central location for exploring all over the Cotswolds. Would highly recommend.
