Cedar Cottage is a welcoming Cotswold holiday home which sleeps six guests, in three comfortable bedrooms, with two well-appointed bathrooms. This family friendly cottage offers a wonderful home-away-from-home experience, whether cosying up in the sitting room, cooking up a storm in the contemporary open plan kitchen/dining room or enjoying the sunshine in the garden. With its excellent location just a 15-20 minute walk from popular Bourton-on-the-Water, Cedar Cottage offers a relaxing space to enjoy year round with family or friends, and is also a dog friendly holiday cottage, welcoming one dog!

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Cedar Cottage is located on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Bourton-on-the-Water, and a short walk away from Lower Slaughter. Bourton-on-the-Water is an unspoilt village which is often described as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’ due to the low arched bridges that cross over the pretty River Windrush. This vibrant village has a variety of pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and independent shops to enjoy - so there's an abundance of things to do in the Cotswolds right on your doorstep! There are a number of short cuts that lead from the cottage to the village centre.

For your shopping essentials, there is a Co-op in Bourton-on-the-Water and a Tesco Superstore in Stow-on-the-Wold.
Daylesford Organic Farm shop, Chastleton House, Blenheim Palace and Batsford Arboretum are all nearby, not to mention the much loved Cotswold towns and villages of Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden and Broadway, none of which should be missed!

The maximum occupancy for this property is 6 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 2 additional infants (aged 2 or under)
Bed linen and towels are provided (duvets and pillows are hypoallergenic)
Off street parking is available for up to 2 cars
1 travel cot and 1 highchair are available on request (please bring your own linen for the travel cot, as this is not provided)

Cedar Cottage has a lovely garden for guests to enjoy and it is important to the owners that guests are courteous and considerate towards the neighbouring properties. We politely request that guests do not disturb the neighbours and that loud music is not played outside after 21:00
Charging electric vehicles at this property is not permitted

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

The house was great and was exactly as it was marketed. I find it odd that Stay Cotswolds take the booking and funds, and yet as soon as the booking has been made any issues, arrival departure times, problems with heating or probably any other issues, Stay Cotswolds tell you to contact the cleaners (MyClean)!! What added value does Stay Cotswolds offer the owner of the property and renters if they just market the properties and take the booking......but nothing else? MyClean were very helpful and communicated well.

You always wonder if the house will look like the pictures and this one really does. We had a lovely stay with our family and a dog. The kitchen was a perfect size and all the bedrooms are good sizes as well. The green was just right for the family and the dog and a nice sun trap. The location is great just a short 10minute walk into the centre of the village as you can take a short cut down the footpath. It was lovely to do this in the evening to walk the dog and see Bourton-on-water a bit quieter as sometimes on a hot day it can get very busy.
