Chapel House is a stunning example of modern restoration that has been lovingly curated to provide the perfect Cotswold holiday cottage which sleeps four guests (no children aged six or under permitted), in two bedrooms, with two bathrooms. Throughout the property there are hints of the chapel’s heritage; beautiful exposed oak beams, original stained glass windows and delightful church pews can be found incorporated with contemporary touches, including a marvellous glass staircase, underfloor heating on the ground floor and a cosy wood burner that takes centre stage in the open plan living area. Outside is a charming, small secluded courtyard with bench seating making it the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine! Chapel House is a dog friendly holiday home that welcomes one small dog!

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Chapel House is located in the wonderful village of Bampton, with the fabulous Lynwood Bakery, butchers, multiple country pubs and beautiful walks along the River Thames within easy reach. While in the area, it is worth taking in the local culinary delights of The Double Red Duke in Clanfield, The Bull at Charlbury and The Ox Barn at Thyme. If you are looking for a family day out, there is the fantastic Blenheim Palace, Highgrove House and Cotswold Wildlife Park to explore!
For your shopping essentials, there is a Co-op in Bampton and larger supermarkets in the nearby towns of Faringdon and Witney.
Bampton is set in North Oxfordshire and is perfectly placed for visiting the much-loved towns of Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Woodstock, as well as being close to the historical town of Oxford with plenty to do from theatres to museums!   • The maximum occupancy for this property is 4 guests. Regrettably, Chapel House does not accept infants nor children under the age of 7 years

A security deposit of £150 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
