Fuchsia Cottage is a stunning refurbished holiday cottage dating back to the 1760's which sleeps 5+1 guests in three characterful bedrooms with a family bathroom and ensuite. A wonderful combination of modern interiors, original features, and some delightful quirks makes this a stylish and homely retreat. The sitting room is tastefully decorated, with a stained glass window depicting the local woodland and a warming log burner, creating a welcoming cottage experience. Beyond this awaits a stylish and contemporary kitchen; light floods in from the bi-fold doors, which can be opened to let the outside in making this a truly amazing space. The tranquil,south facing, walled courtyard is impeccably designed to be a great space all year round, the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee and if that isn't enough, Fuchsia Cottage welcomes three dogs!

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Fuchsia Cottage is located in the attractive village of Milton-under-Wychwood, part of The Wychwoods, with a local shop, excellent pub The Hare and a large village playing green. Surrounded by incredible walks and ancient woodland, there is much to explore, including the adjacent village of Shipton-under-Wychwood, home to popular pubs The Crown and The Lamb. There is plenty to do nearby such as visiting Burford Garden Centre, Cotswold Wildlife Park and Daylesford Farmshop.
For your shopping essentials, there is a local Co-op in Milton-under-Wychwood and Tesco Superstore in Stow-on-the-Wold.
Milton-under-Wychwood is located in the North Cotswolds, nestled between the quintessential towns of Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Chipping Norton. As well as being in easy reach to visit Churchill, Kingham and Charlbury, all having plenty to offer and explore.

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 6 guests, though the number of adults per booking is capped at 5. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant (aged 2 or under)

  • Off street parking is available for up to 1 car, further parking can be found on-street in the village
  • Pay as you go electric charging point
  • Travel cots and highchairs are not provided, so guests will need to bring these with them

  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £300 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
