Lakeside House is a stylish Grade II listed Cotswold holiday home which sleeps ten guests, in four comfortable bedrooms, with two bathrooms. The interiors of this 19th century home are a perfect balance of rustic period charm, stylish décor and modern amenities, all blended together to create a wonderful countryside retreat. Outside, the picturesque garden with spacious lawn and gravelled seating area are ideal for al fresco dining or soaking up the sunshine. StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Lakeside House luxury Cotswold holiday home is located in Fossebridge, a quiet hamlet situated on the River Coln. The hamlet is home to a popular country pub, the Inn at Fossebridge, which has a beautiful riverside seating area and a delicious menu of local Cotswold fare. For keen walkers, Fossebridge is an excellent destination, with footpaths leading directly from the house up the Coln Valley to Chedworth's Roman Villa and in the opposite direction, hikers can head to the renowned Bibury.
For your shopping essentials, there is a small village shop in nearby Northleach, in addition to a range of larger supermarkets including Waitrose, Aldi and Tesco in Cirencester. The majority of larger supermarkets also offer home delivery in the area.
Fossebridge conveniently sits in the centre of the Cotswolds, excellently situated for exploring the well-known towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Burford, all of which can be reached in just over 15 minutes. Cirencester, which is the capital of the Cotswolds, is also only 10 minutes away.
Lakeside House is an excellent location for wedding guests to share due to its proximity to the nearby beautiful venues of Cripps Barn (three miles), The Old Gore (two miles) and Stone Barn (eight miles).

  • There are steps up to the property and between rooms on the ground floor
  • The bedrooms in the eaves have sloping ceilings, especially noticeable in bedroom 4
  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property
Things to Note...
  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 10 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 3 additional infants
  • Hen and Stag parties are not permitted, though other same sex groups can enquire
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
