Location Information

Royal Oak Cottage is located in picturesque Chipping Campden, a historic market town which dates back to the 12th century and was highly important at the height of the wool trade. Today, it's noted as being one of the jewels in the Cotswolds, with its chocolate box cottages and array of boutiques, galleries and eateries. On nearby Dover’s Hill, Captain Robert Dover founded the Cotswold Olimpicks in 1612 and they are still celebrated now, attracting people from around the world to see the bizarre mix of sports, games and village festivities including the famous 'shin kicking' contest.
For your everyday essentials, there are independent retailers and a Co-op in the town.
Chipping Campden sits in the North Cotswolds and is perfectly placed for visiting the honeypots of Stow-on-the-Wold, Broadway, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stratford-upon-Avon.
