The Stables is an enchanting three bedroom Cotswold holiday cottage situated within the picturesque grounds of Camden Farm, near the historic market town of Faringdon. The cottage oozes charm and style with an excellent standard of fittings and furnishings throughout. With thick stone walls, flagstone flooring, wooden beams and wood-burning stove, the property is full of history and character. This dog & pet friendly cottage is an ideal place to escape to with your family or friends for some peace and quiet away from your busy life!

This cottage can be booked alongside our other holiday properties onsite at Camden Farm which can accommodate further guests if required – HONEY COTTAGE, IVY COTTAGE & HIGH BARN – ideal for a large family break or a group booking.

An additional entertainment space, The Camden Hub, is available for an extra charge if you are booking two or more barns at Camden Farm. This unique rustic barn space provides an enclosed, heated entertainment space for dining and dancing along with a kitchen, 2 loos (his & hers) large rustic trestle table, chairs and place settings for up to 24 as standard. The spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen area has been tastefully decorated to provide a welcoming and cosy space. It has exposed internal stone walls and flagstone flooring, both of which compliment the furnishings well. The open plan space contains a large dining table with benches to seat 6 people. The bifold doors can be opened up during the summer months to enjoy the garden. The kitchen island doubles up as a breakfast bar with seating for 3 people. The kitchen has been fully equipped to include large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, range cooker and gas hob. The living room is situated just beyond the kitchen where you will find comfortable sofas and armchairs surrounding the wood burning stove and the TV. There is a washing machine, tumble dryer in the Utility room.

Bedroom 1 – Superking bedroom with wardrobe and drawers, en suite bathroom and walk in shower.

First Floor
Bedroom 2 – Superking bed that can be split into twin beds on request, with hanging space and drawers, en suite bathroom and walk in shower.
Bedroom 3 – Master bedroom with king sized bed, a separate dressing room with hanging space and shelving, en suite bathroom with bath and overhead shower.

The Stables Cottage sits on a rural farm surrounded by beautiful countryside.
The cottage has its own dedicated outside space with outdoor seating, sun loungers and charcoal BBQ.
Camden Farm is located a short walk from the river Thames. Why not rent a paddle board or hire the MOD truck 'Goose' for a picnic or BBQ along the river. All bookable upon arrival at Camden Farm Barns.
There is plenty of fun to be had for all with use of the table football, football pitch and trampoline.

  • Bed linen and towels are provided
  • Infant friendly – there is 1 travel cot and 1 highchair available on request (please bring your own linen for the travel cot, as these are not provided)
  • Dog friendly – up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome for an additional charge of £40 per dog. Please refer to our pet rules on our FAQ page for more information.
  • There is driveway parking at the front of the property for a maximum of 3 cars. 
  • WIFI (50MB broadband is available on the estate and is split evenly between all 4 properties) - you can stream and download
  • Smart TV
  • Wood burner – please note that logs are only supplied to guests between 1st October – 30th April.
  • BBQ – please note that coal and gas are only supplied to guests between 1st April – 30th September.
  • There is a small dedicated garden area, however, please note that this is not secure therefore infants and dogs will need to be accompanied at all times.
  • Please be aware that The Stables is on the complex of Camden Farm and there are other properties within close proximity.

Accessibility and Health and Safety

The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk.

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard booking conditions

The Stables Cottage is situated in the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside close to market town of Faringdon where you will find a large range of amenities including supermarkets, coffee shops, pubs, restaurants and a few select shops. The cottage is excellently located to explore everything that the Cotswolds has to offer including many local towns surrounding the area -

You can arrive and depart on any day you like, for 2 nights or more, however if you select Monday and/or Friday as your change over days you will achieve the optimum price.

Perfectly presented property for a relaxing break. Great location with open fields well away from any busy roads.

Despite being part of a complex the Cottages all have their own space so it was very peaceful with a very pleasant 10 minute walk to the Thames. The cottage is a very high standard with comfortable beds and is very spacious. However the supply of some basics was limited and could have been improved at minimal cost. We had to buy more soap, toilet rolls, washing tablets, and washing up tablets. We also had to ask for additional cutlery and crockery to avoid washing up continuously. Apart from these minor issues which could easily be resolved everything else was excellent.

The Stables were a great location clean and comfortable with great amenities. Shame you could not say the same for the weather
