Parking in Stow-on-the-Wold
First things first, parking the car. Parking in Stow-on-the-Wold can be slightly tricky on busier days but don’t worry, there are multiple options on where to leave your car.
The Square is the most central location to park if you can find a space, perfect for dropping off your shopping bags before grabbing something to eat. It’s free of charge but there is a time restriction of two hours so keep an eye on the clock if you do park here. The long stay car park next to Tesco on the Fosseway is free of charge all day and is probably the best location if you want to spend a longer shopping day in Stow-on-the-Wold.

Now, let’s focus on the shops. Starting with our neighbours across the road, Fairfax and Favor is a must visit. If you’re not familiar with the brand, you soon will be. This beautiful shop offers stylish and timeless clothing and footwear that has been designed with the countryside and rural life in mind. Their pieces are great additions to any wardrobe where ensembles for a country walk or pub supper are top of the agenda. It’s difficult for the Stay Cotswold team not to spend their entire wages in the shop every month.
Continuing with the fashion theme, Aspiga is also located on Digbeth Street. Known for stylish and sustainable clothing, the shop is an ideal destination if you’re looking for beautiful dresses, bold prints and bright colours. Sister Sister Collective is based in the square and has a vibrant selection of fashion accessories to choose from. It’s a great place to pop into if you need something to elevate an outfit for a special occasion.
Trespass and Rohan never fail to provide the essentials for outdoor activities. Exploring the Cotswolds on foot is something we all enjoy and having practical outerwear and footwear to hand is essential when walking across the footpaths in the English countryside. Dog by Just for Pets is an incredible shop if you’re visiting the Cotswolds with your pet, you’ll find everything you need in there from dog leads, coats and toys, to delicious treats and food. The staff there are always so welcoming.
Bring the Cotswolds style to your home
Interior lovers will be spoilt for choice when shopping in Stow-on-the-Wold, Sam Wilson is a beautiful shop that is bursting with rustic homewares, all decorated with original print designs. We love to pop in here and pick small presents for loved ones. The shop also has a wonderful selection of seasonal decorations on display at Christmas and Easter time.
The Crock Shop (another one of our neighbours) has been part of the high street in Stow-on-the-Wold for over 25 years and has built a reputation around the area as being the ultimate shopping destination for just about anything kitchen and dining related. Seriously, they have stocked over 5000 lines of homeware over the years and you could spend hours rooting through all their gadgets and crockery. Feel free to pop into the Stay Cotswold office afterwards if you need a little respite.
From the square, you can wander through Talbot Court, a hidden gem that is lined with more independent brands ranging from jewellery to flowers, and head out onto Sheep Street. Here you can find some fantastic antiques and the flagship shop of The Cotswold Co.
