Places to Visit at Clarkson’s Farm

Diddly Squat Farm Shop
No trip to the Cotswolds is complete without a stop at a farm shop, and Diddly Squat is undoubtedly one of, if not the, most famous. Located in Chadlington on the outskirts of Chipping Norton, Diddly Squat is the perfect first stop to pic up some of Clarkson’s very own ‘cow juice’, have a bite to eat at the on-site Big View Cafe, and snap a selfie in front of the infamous wooden sign.
Make Diddly Squat Farm your first stop of your Clarkson’s Farm tour if you plan to explore all three of his locations as the crowds grow quickly and the shop is snug, though avoid Monday’s as they’re closed.

Hawkstone Brewery
A short 30 minute drive to Bourton-on-the-Water and you’ll reach Hawkstone Brewery. The Hawkeston Arms is home to Jeremy’s beer and cider. While here, you can experience a tour of the brewery, grab some food from one of the on-site food vans and treat yourself to some Hawkstone and Diddly Squat products from the shop.
There’s plenty of seating inside, but we enjoy sitting outside on a summer day watching the operations of the brewery while enjoying a crisp drink. Before you go, make sure you check out their events calendar, and don’t forget to download your StayCotswold VIP pass to get your FREE half pint of Hawkstone lager.

The Farmer’s Dog
25 minutes up the road on the outskirts of Burford you’ll find The Farmer’s Dog, Clarkson’s latest addition to his portfolio and largest offering of the three. The pub serves locally sourced ingredients while the giant ‘The Grand Tour’ tent has everything (and more!) from Hawkstone and Diddly Squat Fam Shop, plus ‘Hops and Chops’: an in-house butchers with fresh meat directly from Jeremy’s, and other local farmers.
While here, take in the view of the rolling Cotswold countryside from the large pub garden with a drink – the views are truly stunning and there’s plenty of benches and deckchairs to relax in. Similarly to Diddly Squat, The Farmer’s Dog is closed on Monday’s. The car park is located next to the pub but it gets very busy, so we recommend the overflow located across the road.
If you’re wondering what other places there are to see or things to do in the Cotswolds, this guide will help you discover the best of this stunning region.
