Tansie House offers the ideal setting to make unforgettable memories on a Cotswold getaway. This beautiful holiday home with a hot tub sleeps 6+2 guests, in three bedrooms, with the +2 option being a double sofa bed in the snug, with two bathrooms. This 19th century house has a unique style, with carefully curated interiors blending country chic charm with modern touches. Guests can enjoy a range of amenities, from the inviting sitting room, adorned with plush sofas and a wood burning stove, to the contemporary kitchen and cosy snug. The exterior is equally impressive, featuring a sun trap, landscaped, tiered garden with a private hot tub, providing a year-round outdoor retreat! One medium size dog is welcome in this dog friendly holiday home so they too can enjoy the many delights of the Cotswolds.

This three bedroom holiday cottage is situated in the picturesque Saxon town of Winchcombe, conveniently located within walking distance of a variety of amenities, including unique shops and delightful eateries. Tansie House offers an elegant countryside retreat and is laid out as follows:

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Tansie House is centrally located in the ancient Saxon town of Winchcombe. The town is brimming with amenities from independent shops and local cafes to country pubs and historic sights - there is much to explore. Tansie House is a five minute walk from the high street, so an ideal base, as conveniently located yet tucked away. For those interested in exploring the local countryside, there are many trails for hiking, cycling and even horse riding, as well as a variety of golf courses. Winchcombe is surrounded by stunning countryside and holds the 'Walkers are Welcome' status. It is uniquely placed at an intersection of the renowned hiking and cycling routes The Cotswold Way, Gloucestershire Way, Wardens' Way and Windrush Way. The Cleeve Hill walking trail is one of our favourites!
For your shopping essentials, there is a Mid-Counties Co-op and Morrisons in Winchcombe, and a Tesco Superstore can be found further afield in Cheltenham. William's of Winchcombe is also well worth a visit, with its wonderful deli offering local produce alongside a selection of organic fruit & vegetables.
Further afield is the popular regency town of Cheltenham, with its museums, shops and parks. Alternative spots for a day out include Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Campden, all just a short drive from Tansie House. Not to mention the top attractions of Sudeley Castle and the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway which are both within easy reach.

  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 8 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant
  • Hen and stag parties are not permitted
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • Bikes can be securely housed in the garden store
  • Please be advised that the loo in the master bedroom ensuite is a pump loo which can be noisy at times
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
