Overview

The Homestead is a stunning Cotswold holiday home which sleeps ten guests (see Finer Details), in four stylish bedrooms, with four luxurious bathrooms in the main house, and a final bedroom and bathroom in the shepherd's hut. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the professional chef designed kitchen to the curated collection of one-off hand-picked antiques and each internal door being specifically imported from India, together they create a space like no other. Outside, the landscaped garden is a wonderful sun trap and the additional accommodation of the shepherd's hut makes for a lovely, secluded extra area complete with its own shower and kitchenette. With the renowned Blenheim Estate within walking distance, The Homestead is the perfect place to bring your loved ones and even welcomes one medium sized dog!

This five bedroom holiday cottage in Bladon, near Woodstock, is perfectly suited for those looking to get together with family and friends, exploring the local countryside and eateries. The dog friendly holiday home is laid out as follows:

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

The Homestead is located in the beautiful village of Bladon, excellently positioned on the outskirts of the renowned Blenheim Estates, just eight miles from Oxford. The village is home to a local pub, The White House, and the stunning St Martin's Church. Bladon is famous for its connection to Sir Winston Churchill, who was born in nearby Blenheim Palace and is buried at St Martin's Church; he was even known to pop into the local pub on his visits to the area! For your shopping essentials, Woodstock is a mere two miles away, where you can find an abundance of eateries and shops including a Co-op.
Bladon is a wonderful base to explore the North Cotswolds' many towns and attractions, including Chipping Norton, Burford and of course, Blenheim Palace, which is within walking distance from The Homestead!

  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property
Things to Note...
  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 10 guests, though the number of adults per booking is capped at 8. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 2 additional infants
  • Hen and Stag parties are not permitted, though other same sex groups can enquire 
  • Commercial and work related bookings may enquire
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • The Homestead has a lovely garden for guests to enjoy and it is important to the owners that guests are courteous and considerate towards the neighbouring properties. We politely request that guests do not disturb the neighbours and that loud music is not played outside after 22:00
  • The garden is regularly maintained by a professional gardening service, this work is generally carried out when the property is vacant however, the gardener may need to carry out work whilst the property is occupied. If you require further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £350 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
