Angels' Folly is a beautiful stable conversion which sleeps four guests, in two stylish bedrooms, with two bathrooms. The ground floor of the cottage is occupied by the spacious open plan kitchen and sitting room, creating a perfect space to entertain family or friends. This dog friendly holiday property has been recently renovated, carefully balancing contemporary amenities with charming character features. The exposed honey-coloured Cotswold stone walls, inglenook fireplace with wood burner and authentic beams give the downstairs a cosy feeling, whilst the high vaulted ceilings upstairs add a modern touch.

This two bedroom holiday cottage is tucked away in the grounds of Batsford Estate in the idyllic village of Bourton-on-the-Hill, and is perfectly suited for those looking to relax with loved ones, exploring the local countryside and eateries. StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

Angels' Folly is situated in the idyllic village of Bourton-on-the-Hill, which boasts breath-taking views over the surrounding valley and town of Moreton-in-Marsh. The village is well-known for its charm, having been recently voted as the best place to live and twice receiving the title of best kept village in the Cotswolds. There is a popular pub within easy walking distance of Angels' Folly, serving up delicious meals, their Sunday roast in particular should not be missed!
For your shopping essentials, there is a Co-op and Tesco Express in nearby Moreton-in-Marsh, as well as a range of local producers and farm shops in the area.
Bourton-on-the-Hill is centrally located in the North Cotswolds within an easy drive of many renowned Cotswold attractions and destinations, including Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold, Batsford Arboretum and Hidcote Manor Gardens.

  • Logs are not provided for the wood burning stove, however they can be purchased at local stores
  • There are some low beams, low doorways and an open-sided staircase without a bannister
  • The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property
Things to Note...
  • The maximum occupancy for this property is 4 guests. Regrettably, infants are not permitted due to the open nature of stairs
  • Events are not permitted without prior consent
  • A security deposit is required at this property
  • Check in is from 17:00 and check out is by 10:00
  • Angels' Folly has access to communal gardens which guests are welcome to enjoy (we politely request that guests are courteous and considerate towards the neighbours who share this outside space)
  • The garden is regularly maintained by a professional gardening service and although this work is generally carried out when the property is vacant, the gardener may need to carry out work whilst the property is occupied
Security Deposit

A security deposit of £150 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
