Heron Barn is a spacious and light holiday home in the Cotswolds providing dog friendly accommodation for up to 12 guests across five bedrooms near Bampton. There is plenty of entertaining space, including kitchen, dining area and living room, and a fabulous enclosed courtyard at the heart of this property. The surrounding countryside is fantastic for keen walkers, cyclists and those wanting an escape from it all. Situated in the Chimney Meadows Nature Reserve, it is very peaceful and not too far from civilisation and plenty of charming Cotswold towns and villages.

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.
For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.
Location Information
For your shopping essentials, head into nearby Bampton (five miles) or to explore the filming location of the famous Downton Abbey, before heading back via Aston Pottery for tea and cake and a look round their gardens and shop.
Surrounding villages are also home to some fabulous gastro pubs so don't miss a visit to The Double Red Duke, Clanfield or The Bell Inn, Langford.

- The maximum occupancy for this property is 12 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant if there are 12 other guests. If group numbers are less, additional infants are considered on request
- Hen and stag groups are not permitted
- Commercial, work related and single sex groups on request
- Heron Barn is one of three holiday lets at Chimney Farm Barns and for certain occasions, these barns can be rented together on request
- Events are not permitted without prior consent
- A security deposit is required at this property
- Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00
A security deposit of £500.00 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date, providing no damage is reported the pre-authorisation will be released 5 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.
