Middle Barn is a contemporary styled Cotswold holiday cottage which sleeps six guests, in three well-appointed bedrooms, with two modern and functional bathrooms. On the ground floor you have the perfect open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room for you and your guests to relax and socialise in, which leads out onto the courtyard garden, which has an outdoor table and seating for six. Middle Barn is a dog friendly holiday home, suitable for a medium sized dog, and also has an electric car charging point.

Booking & Payment

StayCotswold is a marketing agent and therefore does not own any of the cottages listed on our website. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, the properties within our portfolio are managed by a third party property manager or the property owner – your pre-arrival email will contain confirmation and contact details for the person managing your property. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement directly between you and the property owner.

For bookings commencing more than 8 weeks in advance, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is then due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments are made subject to the cancellation policy set out in the standard Booking Conditions.

Location Information

The historic market town of Chipping Norton is one of the more lively Cotswold towns, well known for its vibrant High Street and wide selection of independent shops, top-quality restaurants and pubs. The town includes a noteworthy church, theatre, museum and open-air Lido too!

For your shopping essentials, there is a Co-op and a Sainsbury's just a few minutes' walk away.
Chipping Norton is well-placed for visiting the nearby Cotswold honeypots of Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water, as well as local attractions which include Chastleton House, Blenheim Palace and Soho Farmhouse. Just five miles away is Kingham Station which has direct trains to London Paddington, making this a great choice for those looking to explore further afield destinations as well. The maximum occupancy for this property is 6 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant (aged 2 or under)
Bed linen and towels are provided (duvets and pillows are hypoallergenic)

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £250 is required for bookings at this property. This amount will be pre-authorised on your credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date and, providing no damage is reported, the pre-authorisation will be released 7 days after your departure. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival.

Had a fab stay at Middle Barn.It was difficult to find even with 3 words but we shall definitely stay again as accommodation was very clean and we were extremely comfortable during our stay.

We spent a week at middle barn in Chipping Norton and safe to say we had a very enjoyable time. We were travelling with a 4 year old and 10 month old so it was was important to keep them occupied! The location of the property is great. You are a 2 min walk to the main high street through a private secure gate behind the cottages. The house itself was clean and the kitchen having some essentials provided on arrival was a nice touch. The property is located via a tight/narrow driveway and although the house has an allocated driveway, practicing multi point turns to access is a must. (If too much of a challenge there is a free long stay (72 hrs) car park across the road (5 minutes walk). The bedrooms are of a good size although there are no wardrobes (just hangers on wall hooks). The linen and towels were clean and fresh. The house benefits from a washing machine and dishwasher as well as ironing board/iron and hairdryer. There is no washing line though, however there is a clothes horse that can be set up in the good sized enclosed patio area at the back of the house. The house does not have a tv aerial/free view box and therefore you are unable to access standard tv channels, which must be possible to include. There are 3 bathrooms, one ensuite, one family bathroom (with bath) and one downstairs WC. The ensuite shower is small but there is a shower over the bath in the main bathroom should you need more space. We visited the house on a very hot week and the good news is that fans are provided. We needed a travel cot which was also provided (it was the bigger size). The cottage did not have stair gates (to prevent our 10 month old trying to climb stairs), which if they could have been provided would have been a blessing, but that did not deter from the stay. Overall an enjoyable stay and would stay again
